Apple released its top ten applications in the celebration of the iTunes application store. It is no surprise that the majority of these applications are video games. Here is a list of the most popular iPhone applications. Check out which one you own on your iPhone:

The camera+ application: the standard camera application that comes with every iPhone is not as cool as the camera+ rounds. This is the top selling iPhone application. It is favored because of its photo editing features such as special effects and cropping. It also enables the user to upload their pictures directly to Facebook.

The Pocket God: this is a very popular video game among those who like to play God. The game basically lets you rule your own island and determine the fate of your island citizens. The application continuously gets updated with new episodes which make it much more interesting.

Angry Birds Rio: this is a release partnership with the popular film Rio. This particular application is a video game which lets you rescue the exotic birds instead of killing the swine. The feature also allows you to bring in a special breed of birds that knock structures down instead of ramming into them.

Tiny wings: this is actually a pretty game if you like such kinds of things. It features graphic art that is beautiful and combines it with the desire to learn how to fly. It was voted as the best iPhone Game of the Year in the App Store Rewind 2011.

Words with friends: this is one of Zynga's successful games and it is not without reason. This game can be place on your iPhone and can be continued later as a Facebook application. It is the most expensive application so far. In addition, it is ad-free.

Angry Birds seasons: the game updates itself according to the various festivities. For instance, it updates itself when it is Christmas, Valentine's, Chinese New Year or even Halloween. The updates also come with new birds that have new powers.

Cut the rope: this game was voted as IGN's Best Game on iPhone. It has 60 million downloads and still counting.

Doodle jump: this is a video game where you bounce around battling with aliens and UFOs. Even though there was a Christmas edition that was released by Lima Sky, the original version still remains popular.

Fruit ninja: this game requires you to have precision as you slosh the fruits. It requires you to improve on your hand-eye coordination.

Angry birds: this application was borrowed from the release of the angry bird's phenomenon of 2009 and remains the most favored amongst iPhone users.
