When you want to lookup someone's cell phone number and don't want to pay expensive fees associated with private cell phone directories and background check services, then keep reading on.

Second Trick: The Facebook trick! Go look on Facebook to see if the person has a profile, it is becoming more common for people to list their cell numbers on their profile.
Because of Facebook's ever changing privacy policy, Facebook users sensitive and private date have become more available than ever. If you are not friend's with the person than you can try a little bit of social engineering to get the information you want. You are not allowed to do this because you would be invading on someone's privacy if created a new profile using a photo of an interesting person as their profile photo to entice the user to accept friends. But since this is against Facebook's TOS, then just get a female friend to help you. A simple friend request may do the trick as the user's mobile phone information may be shown to anyone on their friends list. If that doesn't work then just ask for it like normal people do, except having a friend do.
Third Trick: Bite the bullet and pay for a private cell phone number lookup. Just wait, keep reading... this turns into "free lookup" when the information is not available because you can always get a refund if you are not "satisfied" with the search results.
Private cell phone lookups are the most reliable way to lookup cell phone numbers, the only catch is they are not free. Some charge a one-time fee for every search result, while others may give unlimited or a certain number of searches per month based on a subscription.
The reason why these private lookup sites are so reliable is that because many of them get the data from the users themselves. Unknowingly to many people is that whenever you share any information to a company such as a bank, department stores or magazine subscription, your information is shared, bought and sold to marketing and advertising companies. This may sound shady to you but it is a regular practice that has been done for many, many years. The best way to avoid these type of marketing tactics is to never share your cell phone number with any companies or institutions. You can also optout and get your number removed from such directories, the problem is that you may have to request this in writing to each company, and they are many, and they sometimes make it difficult.
